The Bird Sanctuary Garden Design Plan
My garden design for the Bird Sanctuary Garden started out with the idea that I wanted something interesting to look at out my kitchen sink windows. The idea to build a bird friendly garden soon came to mind and combined with the idea of creating a small sitting area as the focal point for the space. The trees and shrubs used in this space are few, grouped together and widely spaced. Yet the simplicity of the design works. This is one of my favourite gardens in the yard.
Evergreens, colourful blooms and berry producing shrubs all form part of this garden along with a birdbath and birdfeeder. For a list of some bird-friendly plants see How To Design A Bird Friendly Garden.
