A Stroll Through the Gardens in June
Gallery > Early Summer Garden
It's fun sometimes to stroll through your gardens and take pictures from viewpoints you usually do not observe in your garden. We typically enjoy our gardens from the same vantage point -- a patio, a kitchen window or some other design feature. Yet if we take the time we can look at our gardens differently just by taking a walk through them.
June is such a marvelous time in the garden. Everything seems to be growing in leaps and bounds just as summer takes off. Here is a stroll through my gardens in June. I hope you enjoy.
Azalea Golden Lights

Iris Diabolique

Siberian Iris

Iris pallida 'Variegata'

A snow white iris in bloom against Magic Carpet Spirea.

My favourites in the June garden however are the weigela and peonies.

Weigela Wine and Roses in full bloom.

Cheddar Charm

Viburnum Shasta

Angela Climbing Rose

Climbing Rose New Dawn bloomed well in 2010 but a hard winter set it back in 2011.

Another favourite Kolkowitzia, or Beauty Bush.

Woodland perennial Aquilegia canadensis (native columbine)

A morning dove enjoying the garden as much as I do.
